Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026
Gabriele Technology Solutions, LLC ("BracketsPlus," "we," "our," or "us") operates the BracketsPlus mobile and desktop applications and the website at www.bracketsplusapp.com (together, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have.
By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to:
- Organizers — league or tournament administrators who create leagues, enter data, and manage events in the app.
- Participants — bowlers or competitors whose information may be entered by an organizer or linked through league features.
- Website visitors — people who browse our marketing site or view published league reports.
If you are a participant, your league organizer decides what player information to enter into BracketsPlus. Organizers are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and use participant information and for informing participants as required by their own policies or league rules.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in the following categories, depending on how you use the Services.
2.1 Account and authentication information
When you create or use a BracketsPlus account, we may collect:
- Email address and display name
- Authentication credentials processed through Firebase Authentication (passwords are hashed by our authentication provider; we do not store plain-text passwords)
- Multi-factor authentication (MFA) enrollment data when you enable authenticator-based MFA
- Account verification and password-reset activity
2.2 League, tournament, and app content you provide
When you use BracketsPlus to manage events, information you enter may include:
- League and event names, settings, and schedules
- Player or team names, scores, averages, handicaps, lane assignments, and standings
- Bracket, pot game, eliminator, mystery doubles, 50/50, strike jackpot, and related payout data
- Optional player details such as age, gender, team affiliation, and payment handles (for example Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, or Apple Cash usernames you choose to store)
- Reports, audit logs, and files you generate, export, print, or upload
Much of this information is stored locally on your device in an on-device database. If you use cloud features, copies of league data, snapshots, backups, or reports may also be stored in our cloud infrastructure.
2.3 Device, app, and technical information
We may collect or generate:
- A stable device identifier used for subscription entitlement, device registration, and support
- Device or host name, operating system, platform, and app version
- Network connectivity status needed for online features
- Diagnostic, error, and audit information generated by the app, which may be kept locally on your device unless you choose to send it to us
- Firebase App Check signals on supported platforms to help protect backend services from abuse
2.4 Subscription and purchase information
BracketsPlus offers paid subscriptions through platform stores such as Google Play and the Microsoft Store. When you purchase or restore a subscription:
- The store processes payment and billing information. We do not receive your full payment card number.
- We receive or store subscription status, product identifier, purchase or transaction ID, platform, and entitlement dates needed to provide paid features.
- If configured, purchase verification data may be sent to our backend to validate entitlements.
2.5 Support, feedback, and issue reports
If you contact us or submit an in-app issue report or suggestion, we may collect:
- Your name, email address, and optional phone number
- Description of the issue or suggestion
- Diagnostic logs, audit logs, and, if you choose to attach them, a copy of your local app database to help us troubleshoot
Support uploads are voluntary unless required to resolve a specific request you initiate.
2.6 Website information
When you use our website:
- Your browser may send standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages viewed.
- Our league hub may store saved league shortcuts in your browser's local storage on your device.
- League search features may send search terms to our cloud functions to locate published reports.
We do not use third-party advertising trackers in the BracketsPlus app. Our website hosting provider may collect server logs in the ordinary course of operating the site.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services
- Create and manage user accounts and authenticate users
- Store and process league, bracket, and tournament data you enter
- Enable optional cloud sync, device registration, live event features, and published reports
- Process, verify, and manage subscriptions and entitlements
- Respond to support requests, bug reports, and feedback
- Protect the security and integrity of the Services, including fraud and abuse prevention
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
4. Public and organizer-directed sharing
BracketsPlus is designed so organizers can share league results with their members and the public. If an organizer uploads reports or enables public report hosting, information contained in those reports (such as league name, player names, scores, standings, and payouts) may be accessible to anyone with the report link or league ID through our website or storage URLs.
Organizers control whether and when reports are uploaded and what information appears in them. If you are a participant and have questions about public league reports, contact your league organizer.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may share information in these situations:
- Service providers: With vendors that help us operate the Services, such as Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, security, and related infrastructure), cloud hosting providers, and platform stores that process purchases. These providers are authorized to use information only as needed to perform services for us.
- At your direction: When you upload reports, submit support files, or otherwise choose to send data to us or make it available to others.
- Organizers and participants: League data may be visible to organizers and, depending on features used, to participants linked to a league.
- Legal and safety: When we believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or government request, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
6. Third-party services and platform stores
The Services rely on third parties including, where applicable:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud — authentication, database, storage, and security services
- Google Play — Android app distribution and in-app purchases
- Microsoft Store — Windows app distribution and purchases
- Apple App Store — if and when an iOS version is offered
Your use of those services is also governed by their own privacy policies and terms. Payment information is handled by the applicable app store, not by BracketsPlus directly.
7. Data retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including:
- While your account is active and you continue to use cloud or support features
- While needed to provide subscriptions, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or comply with law
- For backup, security, and disaster recovery for a limited period
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. You may request deletion of account-linked cloud data on our account deletion page or by contacting us. Some information may persist in encrypted backups or logs for a limited time after deletion.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for data in transit, access controls, and platform security features such as Firebase App Check on supported mobile builds. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and any device used to access the Services. We recommend enabling MFA where available.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete personal information, subject to legal and operational exceptions
- Export or receive a copy of certain information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Appeal a decision regarding a privacy request, where applicable
To exercise these rights, use our data deletion page, account deletion page, or email support@bracketsplusapp.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. If you are a participant seeking access to or deletion of league data entered by an organizer, we may direct you to contact the organizer first.
You can also:
- Delete local app data from your device or uninstall the app
- Choose not to attach diagnostic or database files when submitting support reports
- Manage optional saved sign-in credentials in the app or remove them by signing out and clearing saved login settings
- Clear website local storage through your browser settings
- Manage subscription billing through the store where you purchased
California and U.S. state privacy notices
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion and correction; and to not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by applicable U.S. state privacy laws.
Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf where permitted by law. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
EEA, UK, and Swiss users
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or similar laws apply, our legal bases for processing may include: performance of a contract, legitimate interests (such as security, product improvement, and support), compliance with legal obligations, and consent where required. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
10. International data transfers
We are based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have data protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
11. Children's privacy
BracketsPlus is intended for league and tournament organizers and is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Player ages may be entered by organizers for handicap or eligibility purposes; organizers should obtain any required parental consent before entering information about minors.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the app or on our website. Continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
